March 8th 2008 - Family History Day
« on: Friday 13 January 06 10:56 GMT (UK) »

Family History Day  Cuckfield Museum, Queen's Hall, Cuckfield, West Sussex 2-5pm
Another one of our very successful events.
Whether you are born and bred in Sussex or live further away and want to research your Sussex ancestors, this is the day for you.   Chris Swarbrooke, better known to Rootschatters as as 'Chris in 1066Land', will be giving a talk about how the information on gravestones can help with your research.   Members of the Sussex Family History Group will also be in attendance selling various publications and offering specialist knowledge, as will West Sussex Record Office.      Expert advice will be available from many other local and family historians on:
Local history.     Using the Internet for research.     Census Records.     Civil Registration,  etc.
The Museum will also be open for you to find your Cuckfield connections too.
Admission £3   Telephone 01444 413172 to book a place for the talk or for further details

I hope to meet some of you there.
Andrea
