Cramond birth in Urquhart 1700s
« on: Friday 13 January 06 16:16 GMT (UK) »

*** Help no longer required thank you ***

Our family Cramond tree is back to 18th century at the moment, but I have hit a brick wall.

The furthest back family is:

John Cramond married to Elizabeth Geddes
known children...
James Cramond  22 May 1781  Urquhart
Jannet Cramond  10 Mar 1785  Urquhart
Margaret Cramond  30 May 1788  Urquhart

I am trying to determine parentage of John Cramond and Elizabeth Geddes.
Can anyone help?   Much appreciated.   Smiley

Hi my ancestor was Margaret Geddes b 1773 in Morayshire. She married William Finlay and my maternal grandmother is descend from here,  MArgarets  father was William Geddes b 1756 who married Janet Davidson.  His father was also William Geddes and he married Janet Laing all from Moray area - Duffus/Lossiemouth etc  Hope this helps and  I would thoroughly recommend a site called www.scotlandpeople.gov.uk
One of the best sites for quick access to source documents in a simple and easy way. All the above are listed on ancestry .co.uk under Walsh Family tree
Good luck
