Thanks very much for all the info and for your patience!!
I have a lot of the Whitwick information because I have visited their excellent historical group. I was looking at it again yesterday and it suddenly occurred to me that some Percivals from Breedon were christening their children at Whitwick in the mid 18th century (apparently Breedon's church was in a very bad state of repair at the time).
My husband is a Percival and so far we have got back to Peter born 1770 died 1849, but I am having great difficulty in finding his birth/christening place, hence Breedon!!!
I have also been to Coalville Library so I have decided to revisit there and look at Breedon's christenings.
