CLARK, All
« on: Tuesday 13 January 04 08:53 UTC (UK) »

I am currently researching the following family and information would be greatly appreciated.

Henry James CLARK was born circa 1792 possible in Eltham, Kent (1881 census).  He married Mary Dormer CATER in St Mary's, Portsea, 1834.

Children were:

Robert Holloway CLARK (1837) - New Shoreham
Norman CLARK (1838) - New Shoreham
Wilson John CLARK (1841) - New Shoreham
Mary Elizabeth CLARK (1843) - Maldon, Essex
Harriet Josefa CLARK (1844) - Maldon, Essex
Ellen Jane CLARK (1846) - Maldon, Essex

Henry was employed by HM Customs and Excise and died on 16 August 1881 (aged 90) whilst living at 518 Kings Road, London.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Nobby

Hi Nobby

Are you doing a One Name Study on the entire family name or are you just after information on particular individuals?  Smiley

If the latter is the case I will gladly move the post for you to a more relevant board which may help to generate a response for you.   Please let me have any information on possible locations (County etc.) so I can place it in the right board.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

I am doing a one name study on the entire family with my research so far showing the family spent considerable time in Surrey and Chelsea.

Not sure if this helps any but here's the earliest CLARK in my tree.

James CLARK
B: 1845
M to: Anna Maria HILLS (B: 1845, D: 23 Apr 1880 - Hamilton, Tasmania, Australia).

That's if you ever try and trace CLARK ancestors in Australia Wink
