Could some one please look up the 1841 census for me for the following family?
George Bell, b. 1802, Canonbie. Sarah Eliza Stothart, wife, b. 1806. Andrew Stothart Bell, son, b 1828, Canonbie. Mary Bell, daughter, b. 1830, Canonbie. Francis Bell, son, b. 1833, Canonbie. James Bell, son, b. 1833, Canonbie. Mary Bell, daughter, b. 1836, Canonbie. Margaret Bell, daughter, b. 1838, Canonbie. Sarah Eliza Bell, daughter, b. 1839, Canonbie. George Bell, son, b. 1843, Canonbie.
In the 1851 census they were living at Woodhouse Canonbie and George Bell’s occupation was a Draper/Grocer, His eldest son Andrew Bell occupation was a Draper/Grocer’s assistant. George Bell’s wife Sarah E. Bell was born Jamaica.
Kind regards,
Dryden.

A book containing the memorials in Canonbie Churchyard has recently been published by the Dumfries & Galloway Family History Society www.dgfhs.org.uk
There are a lot pertaining to Bell but one in particular relates to the immediate family about which you have posted.
Main details are:- Mary, daughter of George Bell in Woodhouse, died 23rd December 1830 aged 10 months. John died in infancy. Margaret died 29th February 1837 aged 8 months. Sarah Elizabeth died 8th January 1840 aged 5 weeks George his son died 29th June 1853 aged 9 years George Bell died November 30th 1859 aged 57 years.
George Bell's death certificate should give his parent's names, I believe.

There seems to be only one Stotha)ert but it wasn't your Sarah. I'll check whether she appears as Sarah Bell.
