Can someone please check the  1841/1851 census for Bishop Stortford for John Edward Shorter, he was born in 1832, I believe his parents were Edward and Susannah Shorter of Rye St Bishop Stortford, I have the 1841 and 1851 census for his parents and he is not living with them, another rootchatter has checked the Deaths for the Burial Index for 1800 to 1851 Death look up for Bishop Stortford and he does not appear there so it is a slim possibility that he may have been living with another family. Thanks.

Can't find him in 1851. He could be buried elsewhere. Ancestry has the complete GRO index to view free - might be worth looking there
