I'm looking for the baptism record of John Dorbon born c 1785 at St Mary's Orpington.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I live in Orpington.  St Mary`s Church in Green Street Green, Orpington is not, I would not think, a particularly an old church (late Victorian from its look).
Are you sure that it is not a Church in St Mary Cray, Orpington that you are looking for?

Thanks for your reply.
The truthful answer is - I don't know!
I was given the burial information via another post on Rootschat  - which just said St Mary's Orpington, so I suppose it could be St Mary's Cray.  The burial dates I was given ranged from 1814-1824 with a later burial in 1837 at All Saints, Orpington.

Just had a quick look and there is a very old Church called St Mary the Virgin in St Mary Cray.  Might be worth thinking about this one.
