Can SKS please look at the 1841 for Greens Norton?
I have found the family in 1851 and would expect the following information for 1841 (hopefully!):
Richard DARBY 24 years ag. lab. (poss born out of county)
Susannah DARBY 23
Hannah DARBY 3
George DARBY 1

Hi there,
I have seen your DARBYs:
1871: Barrow upon Soar, Leics
William DARBY, Ann, William, Fanny, Samuel, Priscilla?, Thomas, George and Joseph.
I cannot see a connection with our DARBYs but what is interesting is that our DARBYs moved to Leicestershire also; to Loughborough. I will get in touch if I see a connection: many thanks for replying. Am still awaiting a positive reply on the 1841 census, which may tell me more.

Yes!! Thank you, once again. This is brilliant. The only other query I had was about the male baptisms of Green Norton, which don't appear on the IGI. It looks like a trek to Northants Record Office for those. I need Richard DARBY's baptism c1817.

Hi Louise,
Richard Darby was born in Leckhamstead, Bucks.
Samuel and Mary were married in Lillingstone Lovell, bucks. Mary's maiden name was Warner.
Richard was 1 of 9 children, not all of the children were born in Greens Norton.
If you want any more info let me know as i have the same Darby family in our tree.
