1841/1851 census lookup please

Would anyone be kind enough to look up William and Jane/Jean Roddick on the 1841/1851census for Wigtown spelling for Roddick can differ  Roddick (Riddick/h, Riddoch/k etc Williams birth about 1786 ish many thanks

Had a look on www.dumgal.gov.uk website for the 1851 census. Most of the Wigtownshire area has been transcribed. Is the following yours?

Thank you so much yes I do believe so, I am particulary interested in your last entry William Walker it is him that I would like to know more about he marries a Mary Ann Hughes in1868 Blythswood Glasgow dearly love to find his birth his parents are William walker and Margaret Roddick but where are they in 1851? Grin Grin Grin

William,

If your William jnr (nephew of William & Jane) was born in Glasgow, it could be that his parents were still living in that area - he could have been spending some time with his aunt & uncle for various different reasons.

Hopefully when the 1851 census comes on-line with scotlandspeople, you may be able to find them (as long as they were in Scotland).

Although if William snr was born in Ireland, they may have been visiting other relatives across the water.
