As from today the GRO indexes are now available FREE!!! (at least for the moment) for viewing on www.ancestry.co.uk. You might be able to pick up his birth there, although that won't show his father.
When checking for Joseph you may find the Cambs FHS website useful http://www.cfhs.org.uk/Search.html It has baptism indexes as well as census indexes for 1841 and 1851 (and Gamlingay records have been extracted onto the IGI)
Regards
David

Yep, found this 'new' John Dean family on the 1881. Mine are also on the 1881, completely different family! My family of Deans are living at High Road side, Ramsey. I know this is 'my' Deans, as they have my Great grandmother, Rhoda ,with them , aged 2. The 'other'John Dean is living in Gamlingay. The one's you listed, Suepip, I managed to find out that Joseph's wife's name was Mary Ingle. The John Dean in Gamlingay has a son called Wright Ingle Dean.Plus , Gamlingay John Dean's birthplace listed as Little Gransden. Hope this makes sense!!
