Does anyone know how I would go about finding Railway employment records etc for family members who were based at Carlisle. I know that the BBC 2 programme "Who do you think you are" traced the actress Sue Johnson's grandfather and his employment at the station.

Any help anyone can offer would be great.

try all of the raiway workers unions, they kept very good records, kali.
aslef (drivers) nur (guards, and signalmen and most other railway employees),  alll the best kali.
