Problem with RootsChat web counter

hi trystran, and everyone else,
my problem,i cut and pasted the ibfo you supplied for the free counter, uploaded it via dreamweaver, ( first time i have used this, by the way.) but all i get on my homepage is the letter A. help! what have i done wrong?

I have just looked at your source code (right click on the page and select "View Source")

This is what I see:

I compared with mine and found this:
<script language="javascript" src="http://counter.rootschat.net/counter.php?page=boco">
<!--//--></script>

it looks like DreamWeaver has mangled the code, with †for "

Also:  According to Trystan, you only need to add your username, not the complete web address.
So that should read
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="Javascript" SRC="http://counter.rootschat.net/counter.php?page=watsontree">
<!--//--></SCRIPT>

Try again, and look at the code first, in DreamWeaver, to see what has happened to it, before you upload it.
