Hi Lesley
no, Anne is buried where she died, at Scarborough.
None of the other Brontes have gravestones as such, as they were buried in the family vault in Haworth church.

I haven't got any famous grave pics ... so am bascially 'book-marking' ... keep them coming; this is interesting stuff !
Hi Lydart: Can you keep a secret? Neither do I. I knew that Houdini was buried in New York, and when I searched for him and found that today is the anniversary of his passing on (maybe), I thought it was morally okay to "find" a picture.

A friend sent this to me just last week - his wife is a 6th generation descendant of John Peel (of the d'ya ken John Peel fame)
The grave is at St Kentigern Churchyard, Crosthwaite, Cumbria, England

Thanks Migky - now why didn't I think of that
I'm ashamed to say, I've never heard this - apparently everyone has?

Hi Lesley
Anne is buried in St Mary's churchyard - a lovely place on the cliffs overlooking the sea.
Maybe she is buried near one of your ancestors!!
Well worth a visit I would say! Hope you make it!!

Thanks Judy. Have found a cemetery near to St Mary's hospital, which I think may be the right one - but will check online. Fingers crossed I'll be able to make it - my mum always speaks fondly of Scarborough. Lesley
