Membrey family 1841 census Greenwich
« on: Wednesday 25 January 06 16:00 UTC (UK) »

Hello,
hoping someone can help.
I have traced my Membrey family back to Greenwich 1841 census. HO107/489/12 F 53,pg 17.
Father William Membrey 65, Stone sawyer,N
wife Hannah 60, N
John, son,23,Butcher,Y
Richard, son,30, illegible,Y
Mary, daughter in law ,30,N
John, grandchild,9,N
Benjamin, .. , 8months,N

Children born 1810 onwards at St Alfege, Greenwich Richard (june 1810),Benjamin(march 1815),John (1816), and Emily Jane (June 1818)but can't find the marriage for William & Hannah and the 41 census says they are born out of county so what can I do next?
William was a labourer living in Royal Hill Greenwich in the parish records 1815 & 1818St Alfege,Greenwich.
Can't find William & Hannah on 1851 only son Richard & wife Mary Ann and daughter Emily Jane  a widow both sets of family were in Greenwich,Kent.
Would love to know where William & Hannah came from when & where they married and died. Huh
Hope someone can help.
Best wishes
Jenny

Hi Jenny
William and Hannah are my ggg grandparents and I am in the process of putting together a family tree. I think they were married at Charmouth Independent Church in 1801. She was Hannah Granger. He may have been from Dinnington, Somerset but there is still some confusion regarding his background.
It would be good to swap notes with you.
All the best
David
