The author of this site

www.monaghan95.freeserve.co.uk

has photographed a number of headstones in various cemeteries throughout Ayrshire (plus Glasgow necropolis and Lochwinnoch) and kindly offers to forward a copy of any of the photographs from the listed names to researchers who contact him/her.

Kenny emailed me pictures of three headstones back in June. I was so excited because it listed other family memebers on the headstone that I didn't have in my database. I must have emailed him at the right time because I got the information in a few hours.

I offer a good collection of photographed headstones but they are mainly of the highly decorative reverses of 17th-18th century stones. I remember the previous site but am unaware of any stones that were actually displayed. It looked like a simple list with no images.

I have about 400 images, many of which are in Ayrshire.

He just had the indexes listed on the site, he emailed you the pics you requested.

LIke I said pity he couldn't keep it going but he must have been inundated with requests.

Sorry his site is down. His was probably more suitable in that it presumably included images of the identification sides of the stones.
