1941 bomb at Selside

In April 1941 a bomb fell in Selside which killed Frank Bernard Walder and his wife Lucy. Also John Edward Moorhouse and his wife Florence Louisa.
The address given as their place of death was Cooper House, Selside.
Could you find any information on this family, especially their occupations as they seem usually to have lived in the London/Sussex area.

It might be worth contacting the Westmorland Gazette Office, in Kendal, for more information. They will almost certainly have covered the event, as Selside was not exactly the most obvious target for a bombing raid.

Thanks. I found this  by accident yesterday and there is a very moving item by the grandaughter of the owner of the farm.
