"Freeze" on using reply panel

This morning answering my prodigious mail,9/10ths JUNK,got to my incomers from Rootschat. Upon doing the necessary in the way of answer's,my screen froze. Other sites not affected,'cyber travel' not affected.
One anomaly noticed at start up was missing Security + modem health check.
All now seem's back to normal,but!!!
