Could somebody please do a look up on the 1881 census please. Charles Horne born 1880 Enzie,Banff. Son of Charles and Barbara Horne.
I am visiting enzie in the summer and I would love to see the house my grandfather was born in.

Hello Diane,
I think this is them, living at 28 Front St, Rathven, Banff, in 1881 with Barbara’s father
James Petrie, a widower, aged 64 and born in Bellie, Banff, occupation General Labourer Barbara Horne, married, aged 24, a Sailor’s wife born in Ruthven and daughter to James James Petrie, son of James, aged 21, a House Carpenter, born in Enzie Charles Horne, aged 6 months, grandson to James and also born in Enzie, Banff.

can any one tell me the earliest sensus in scotland jimmy
1801. but the 1801, 1811, 1821 and 1831 recorded numbers only, not names, so the earliest one which is any use for genealogy was 1841.
