Hi Al
One is Steve who's already on here. I'll leave a message for the other one though.
Had a google with 'Breyley' and 'Muswellbrook'. Interestingly it brings up two references.
One is for the NSW Educational Gazette - December 1st 1894. a Mary A Breyley, Emu (?) is listed as pupil teacher.
The other reference has a William Breyley, teacher, Brook Street, Muswellbrook - this is from a directory dated 1872.
Opinions?
Helen

YESSSSSSSS !
Have had reply (well, 3 actually) to the email sent to the guy in Australia. And a reply from genesreunited re: Edith E Breyley.
I think we have our Hannah
Brief details are:
William Braunton Breyley was born 5th October 1837 in Walcot, Bath, Bristol to John and Catherine Breyley. He trained at Battersea Training College London and obtained his first appointment at Brightling School in 1857.
William, wife Hannah (by now expecting their second child - Edith Eleanor who was born in June 1863) and Alexander William travelled to Australia aboard the 'Tiptree' - a voyage that took 120 days. William was engaged under Rev. Cannon White to take charge of the CofE School at Muswellbrook. A series of promotions and transfers took William in 1882 to his final school at Emu Plains where he taught until his retirement in 1906.
Amongst William's children, three were to be pupil teachers, Walter, Herbert and Mary.
On the 26.2.1901 William sent a telegram "My daughter is dead at school house. Kindly wire sanction to close school for the rest of the week that we may recover ourselves and restore house to proper condition."
William died 6th November 1917 at Kingswood Penrith (near Sydney). Hannah died 15 December 1920 at Cootamundra, NSW.
Edith E married a John Smithson-Rayner (twin). Their daughter Ruby was born 1901, Penrith NSW. Edith died in 1901 - don't know whether this was childbirth or whether this is the death referred to in William's telegram.
William's son Herbert John also died in February1901.
There is more information but think this is enough for now - really ought to be writing cards.....
Helen

I am fairly sure Edith was the daughter who died in 1901, as Amelia died 1870, Mary married John Mcgrath in 1913 and Florence died 1878 so that leaves Edith.
Ernest was a tram driver, Herbert John listed as William Herbert John died 1901, Walter stayed in NSW with wife Amy. Edwin died 1872, Arthur died 1946 and Alexander married Alexandra and stayed in NSW.
Alexander and Walters families stayed in NSW.
Unaccounted for children then are Ernest who was still in NSW for 2nd marriage in 1932 and Mary McGrath .
