Hi

Just doing some housekeeping on the Surrey boards and going through the oldest posts. Now there are further resources available it gives a chance for old posts to be looked at again to see if the information can be found or the chance for posters to say whether this information has been answered and this topic can be completed. If it can be completed please put completed into the title of this topic and it can be moved to Surrey completed (it is never lost off Rootschat) giving more space for other topics to be looked at again by all of us to see if we can help. If you are still looking for the information perhaps you can now add further details to help others search again for you.

Where did you get the info you HAVE got? Like his birthplace and year? Does that mean you have him on any census(es)?
If so, which ones? If not, what is the source of the info?
We dont want to spend time looking for info yuo already have.

Hi

The 1901 census shows a John Henry Pearce born Morval aged 44, farming in Morval. All his children aged from 1 to 13 were born Morval.

The 1911 census index shows John Henry Pearce aged 54 still in the Liskeard Registration area of Cornwall which would cover Morval.

You would need to search the 1911 census for yourself because of copyright reasons you cannot ask for lookups on Rootschat.

http://www.1911census.co.uk/

Difficult to tell from the 1911 census whether the youngest child showing is with the same family - Dorothy May aged 5 but her birthplace is Cornwall.

If the family did make a move from Cornwall to Surrey between the 1901 census and the 1911 census it seems it could only have been transitory so there is likely to be very little evidence of their stay. You could try directories.

There are some online
