I need more info -
When was William born?
And what parish do you expect them to be living in, in 1861/71?
Do they have any children in 1871?
I found Elizabeth Down in 1851 - she was 16 years old.

sorry I do not have any other info for william. but yes found Elizabeth at home in the 1851 in Woodbury Devon, and i also do not know who thier children are

So it is not your Elizabeth...Pity  Started to wonder if maybe Anna was Elizabeths grandmother when in 1851 no dau Elizabeth was with Anna...But alas I found this in 1841

No luck with another likely William and Elizabeth Axford I am afraid....The only actual William Axford in Devon is only 17 and sorry I just cannot see another likely variant

I have now found the Marriage Date for Elizabeth Down and William Axford 17th March 1860 Register Office in Exeter, ELIZABETH was listed as a Lacemaker and WILLIAM a Miller
