I am wondering if anyone can help on this one. I have listed among my family tree what would be a gg granfather, Allodine Ball, husband of Hannah and the father of Priscilla ball. In 1881 census Allodine was aged 45. is Allodine a common name it the area at that time?
thanks Jim

Is Allodine Ball's father Joseph Ball and Elizabeth Low? I have an Allodine Ball in my genealogy married to Hannah Cook and their children are: Theodore,Pricila,Hannah Mary, Sarah Ellen, and Martha?.........If so I would like to exchange "Ball" info with you.....Mich
Yes I believe we are indeed looking at the same family. Priscilla was my Great Grandmother she married Robert Richardson in 1895 at Thimbleby Lincolnshire. I believe his father was indeed Joseph though I only have this from the IGI. I have the family from 1881 census in Selston parish Basford and all of Priscilla's siblings are as those you have below beginning with Theodore.
I look forward to hearing from you.
