Charles Alfred Wallis was born in Stepney-London in October1909. His Father was Robert Pixley Wallis, and Mother Mary Ann Wright. I believe he was the yougest of approx 6 of a family.  I cannot find out their names as no living relatives left to ask.  Charles died in 1970 and death was reg in Brent although he lived in Shephards Bush area at that time.  I really want to find his brothers and sisters names so I can take it from there.

I can't see your Robert Wallis in the 1901 census I'm afraid.  Do you have any other snippets of information (however small) that may help us find them for you?

Hi ,its me again,St George in East was apparently part of Stepney.I would recommend you look on the freebmd website as there are several possible Wallis births in either st george or Stepney in the correct period. Ther would appear to be a couple of families as some were born in the same month/year but perhaps it might give you some ideas.Look especially for Robert Pixley E and Francis.

Hi Wildo

Robert Pixley Wallis is the name of my brother(1), father(2), grandfather(3) and g gfather(4). The latter is the father of your Charles. The Pixley connection goes back at least three generations further. The reason why you wont find RPW(4) in the 1901 census is because the enumerator listed him as Wallace. RPW(3) was in school at Bury St Edmunds so you might not have made his connection. RPW(4) was born in Bury St Edmunds (41 Risbygate St ) 16-10-1871.
