A relative who was in the Dublin City Metropolitan Police Dept. gave his county as Galway, parish - Modreeny, post town    - Nenagh. However, the county would have to be Tipperary so this must be an error.

I have learned  that Modreeny is a townland in the Borrisokane area, Killaloe Diocese.  Person of interest is Protestant.  Advised there is no record of this person from Modreeny, born 1853.

Is it possible that his record of birth would be in Nenagh or Could anyone advise me where I should search given the information that came from his MPD records.

Thanks to anyone who might be able to steer me in the right direction.  Huh
