Looking for Joseph Briggs and wife Margaret, nee Cox.
They had the following children that i know of:-

Ann 1806
William 1807
Harriet 1809
John 1811
Carey 1813
Sarah 1817
Charles 1819
Frances 1820
Thomas 1823.

Here are the details you need re: the 1841 Census for Aldwinkle All Saints H.O.803/03 Pg 7 F.6

Joseph Briggs 60 Grocer N
Margarett 60 N
Sarah 20 Y
Frances 20 Y

Also in same household.
Eliza Pinnock 11 Y
Joseph Ashby 10 Y
James Ashby 4 Y
Carey Ashby 2 Y

It is quite unreadable in parts so it maybe as well to try and find the
youngsters noted as in the same household on the 1851 to confirm the
details are correct.

Thats them.

Joseph, James and Carey will be there grand children, parents died in 1839 &1840. I have that Carey was born in 1839, James 1837 and Joseph 1832.

So Joseph would be 10, James 4 and Carey 2. was just wondering if ages you have are correct?
Also the surname was Ashley, but many people spelt it Ashby. Cant wait to tell me cousin, we have been looking to see where Joseph, James and Carey were in 1841, no wonder we couldnt find them under Ashley.

i dont know who Eliza Pinnock is.

What does Y and N mean?

Also have you got any other census records for the other children?

Having a bit of trouble finding the 1851 entries but think this could be James in 1861 Northampton St Sepulchre Rg9/935/13 Pg 17 F.73 90 Bailiff Street

William Janer? Head Mar Shoemaker 64 Woodford
Rebecca Wife Mar Shoe binder 53 Leicester
James Ashley Boarder M 21 Shoe maker Corby

I will see if i can confirm the surname of William in a moment although it does not seem as they are related.

Just popped out for a meal back now so where were we.

Their is a William Briggs in Aldwinkle St Peters (next door to All Sts)

19 Mar 1829  Aldwincle All Saints
William BRIGGS otp, bachelor to Mary STEVENS otp, spinster a possible son but before 1837 so no father named.

Only listing as they marry in Aldwinkles need confirmation they are Joseph's children.

Jacob PINNOCK otp to Harriott BRIGGS of Aldwinckle All Saints

Could  the child Eliza on the 1841 therefore be another grand-child.
