Just trawled through marriage indexes now available via www.Ancestry.co.uk
found them in Dec 1949 Stoke N'ton (which I assume is Stoke Newington) vol 5d page 1370. John McInerney <> Sheila P Chapman
best regards John

Wow, thanks you are a star! I have ancestry but could not find.
Trying to figure out if this John is my relative. He was given up at birth as my Great Aunt was very young and unmarried.. I know he was in London or thereabouts in late 1940s. He came up to Lanarkshire in Scotland to visit. My grandparents lost touch with him. My gran who is 88 and going strong wants to know where he is or what happened to him.
This John may not be the one, but possibly another relative we have yet to discover. Anyways will try and get copy of marriage cert.
Thank you again, very kind of you to take the time to look.
