John and Frances West Charity foundation
« on: Friday 03 February 06 16:53 UTC (UK) »

My grandmother used to receive a pension from the above charity.  See the website for more info: http://www.west-group.org/

In order to do so you have to prove your descendancy from this couples relations and therefore my grandmother must have done so.  But we only found out about this after her death and there is no record held of how she did this.  The only clue we have is that there is a link to a West family from Sussex in her tree, although not directly her ancestors.

I've posted a lookup for more info on this family.

I was wondering if anyone on this site knew anything more about how the West family may be connected to the Founders of this charity - long shot I know!

Thanks
