I work in Hunslet a couple of days a week. As far as I can tell, the only buildings more than 50 years old are churches and pubs. To be honest, it's not the best end of Leeds and I would expect that like many other cities, urban redevelopment changed the face of the place in the 1970s. As it is the industrial end of the city, there's also the distinct possibility of it disappearing courtesy of the Luftwaffe during the last war.
There are a number of sites which have historical maps of places. Check out the local family history society - that's often the best place to start.

Annette. Sorry I don't know the street so I have no idea whether the houses on it are new or old. Good luck with your research.

Looking into Holes

Annette,
It is also worth putting a post into the county board covering Leeds on this site, then it is sure to be seen by those researching in the area:

Good Luck,
