1841 census: children Ann 1811,Robert 1821, George 1826, Mary 1828, George 1833, Ann 1839
Son James 1810/11 married to Ann?

That means George the elder (1785) and Mary were in their 50's still having children?Huh

Hi and welcome to Rootschat

I suspect that the younger children in the 1841 could very well be grandchildren. The 1841 does not give relationships. Also ages over the age of 15 were rounded down, so someone listed as 15 could be between 15 and 19.

There is a George age 15 and one age 8!

More likely that the one age 15 is theirs.

Have you got later census to try sort them out?

Nicky

Have you discovered a rootsweb site called Somerset Coalfield connections.  It gives details of a lot of the Parfitt family.  I have a parfitt marriage but will have to check my tree to give you details.  John Parfitt married Priscilla Challenger.

Your George Parfitt b.1783 married Mary Hancock b. 1784 in Westbury, Wilts. They married in 1805 in Radstock. His father was Robert , ch. 6 Nov. 1747 who married Ann Snook on 22 Dec. 1770. Hope that's of any use.
