anyone out there got a connection with the name POTT
interested in Margaret Pott c 1770 married William Douglas a Shepherd from Cavers/Hawick or any other POTT from the area

   no relation to me but have mi at teviothead for a janet pott daughter of
   john pott who died at binks on 5th may 1833 aged 24

    found another.
    archibald anderson son of james anderson
     in bellandean, raesknowe and stobiicote died 1872
    margaret POTT wife of archibald anderson.
    POTT family long tennants of ryehills, canonbie.
   this headstone is in teviothead cemy. i obviously have just jotted it down roughly at the time and havent put in all the dates. if it is relevent to your search i will go back and copy it properly.

Thanks for the info on the Pott family which are proving difficult , since posting the message have found out that Robert Douglas born 1801 was in fact the son of William Douglas and MARY Pott not Margret
