I SEEM TO  HAVE ACCUMULATED A LOT OF INFO.ON THE ABOVE FAMILIES.
Peter Amos,m. Margaret Paterson(d/o Geo)was b.. Eskdalemuir,Dum.
They married 1810,Kirktown.Rox.
Children married into Scott,Paterson,Turnbull.
Son Gilbert,settled Melrose,Geo.went to Co.Durham.
More than willing to share info.

My G G G G G Grandparents were Andrew Turnbull(1791) and Mary Paterson(c1792), not quite sure on their dates, they had a son Andrew (c1813) who married Vere Oswald (c1825)., (parents Alexander Oswald and Mary Black)Would be interested in any information you may have on the above. All originated from Scotland.

I know its been a while since you posted this, but I don't normally look on the Selkirk board and have only just seen this.

I am descended from Margaret Paterson's sister Helen who married Thomas Hope.

I'd love to hear from you about this family.
