My 6 X Gt Uncle James Brindley

Trying to find the marriage of
John Thompson born abt 1807 Mears Ashby, Northants
to
Eliza ? born abt 1812 Leighton Bromswold.
Found them in 1851 census at Mears Ashby with the following
John Thompson aged 15 Mears Ashby
Mary Ann " aged 13 " "
Martha " aged 11 " "
Catherine " Aged 9 " "
George " aged 7 " "
Elizabeth " aged 4 " "
Hannah aged 1 " "
Not found any marriage in the county of Northants

I missed that one LOL !
I had a look at the census for that area and found Archer but i dont know why i dismissed it.
I think you are right !
As John Thompson the son was born about 1836 son of John and Eliza
and ends up in Wellingborough workhouse as an IDIOT in the 1871 census.
I wonder i that is going through the family ERRMM !
Also in the IGI Eliza Archer Christend 1 Sep 1811 Leighton Bromswold
to George Archer and Ann so looking at the census the age is right.

Great minds think alike Lisa !
i now have a complete list of Gt Gt Grandparents almost complete on 3X
and about 50% of 4X Gt Grandparents.
As for the 2 marriages i noted that both villages are close by, I am not sure perhaps it is mentioned in both as George was from Ellington and Ann from Leighton, Just a thought. Perhaps same vicar that noted it down serving both parishes ?
