My gt.gt. grandfather was living in Falkirk at the time of the 1841 census with his wife Agnes. He was a customs officer. I would love to know if he can be found With Thanks Jill
I had a look through the British Vital Records and found some births all to a Thomas Key and wife Agnes Fleming. If these are the children to the same couple, they would appear to have moved around quite a bit. Your date of 1841 for them being in Falkirk would tie in to two of these children, the 1st Thomas who presumably died in childhood and John.
None of the dates of births conflict and are all within a period of eleven years, the only thing not to tie them all together is the locations. (West Lothian and Stirlingshire are side by side so we're not talking any great distances)
I'll list the births and hopefully you'll be able to make some connections.
