Hi,
I have found out about Joseph and Emma's voyage to New Zealand! Not much, but I've discovered that they went on the May Queen, and that they arrived in Auckland on the 19th October 1878. Does anyone know of any way that I can find out about return trips from New Zealand?

Hi Katie,

Ship departures from NZ ports are not indexed. Like arrivals, they are grouped into quarters of the year, so unless you know the time of year and the port of departure, it means many hours of research, I'm sorry to say.

It might be easier to trace their arrival back in ENG to narrow down the search.
