Trying to find the birth record of James BROOKE, b. abt 1851 in Paisley, Scotland (birth place from 1881 census).
The family does not appear in the 1851 census for Paisley and area.
Most of the information I have is from the Leeds area:
M. cert. from 1871 in Leeds area, YKS, indicates father's name is Emmanuel BROOKE (occ. Power Loom Tuner). Married in Primitive Methodist Church
1881 and 1891 censuses show James BROOKE as Cloth Mill Manager in Leeds, YKS
D. 1895 in Leeds.
Any help appreciated
