hello
trying to locate a girl named emeline hammond b1866 halifax .in 1871 she was living with the craven family at upper edge elland.the craven family were in fact my holroyd relations who had changed the name due to marriage.
the children named on 1871 census were all illigitimate born to my gt gt gt gmother mary ann holroyd although i think the last one was enos cravens son.
i cannot find a birth marriage or death for emeline hammond and wondered if anyone on here could assist in trying to find out what happened to her.
any help or tips appreciated

It doesnt say on the1871 census what relationship she is,the rest of the family are down as son, but nothing is written on the line she is on.

hello
to anyone who may have looked at this post.i can only find one hammond b 1866 female in halifax and that comes up as a louise e hammond.
on later census she is living with in a family with annie hammond b 1832 huddersfield and is down as niece.
does anyone think this could be emeline.

that would be the 1871 census that i mention on post. its the birth and any info after 1871 i am looking for.
trying to find out if this emeline is from a side of family i have yet to find out about.
the craven family she is living with were actually holroyds,every child illigitimate so a difficult family

ive done exactly same thing concerning enos .
have found that he died before 1881 census .
family split up in the years between 1871 and 81 but this emeline keeps bugging me.
been searching since 2006 an getting nowhere.
i am on the beer by the way.

sorry been eating ,got to do it sometimes to soak up me beer.
glad you think its louisa as well,she seems only possibility just like to know what she was doing there in 71.
mary ann craven on the 1871 census was my gt gt gt grandmother.
she didnt marry enos craven until late 1870s and then he died before 1881.she had 5 illigitimate children before that marriage one of which was john b1849 thats my 2x grandad.
she got married again in 1888 and her husband charles exley died year after.being as she was, she then married for 3rd time to a john exley luckily for him she went first.
i was hoping someone could find a holroyd/craven/hammond link but as i write it it seems impossible.
