Montgomeryshire Assizes
« on: Sunday 19 February 06 10:37 GMT (UK) »

My grand father Francis John Davies, of Top Shop, Churchstoke, he was a Pupil Teacher at Churchstoke School,Montgomeryshire at the time, and was called as a witness at the above Assizes in a case of Felony. He appeared as a Witness on the following dates. June 21st 1876 and July 5th 1876. Its not clear if he was appearing for the Prosicution or the Plaintive. Can any one please give me a outline of the case. Where was it held. Who was prosicuted, what was he or she prosicuted for? What was the sentance and what part did he take as a witness. Any help you can give would be gratefully received. Many thanks.
