Does anyone know how i could find
« on: Wednesday 22 February 06 13:55 GMT (UK) »

Does anybody know if there is any way i could find out where a relative worked in the 1920s? My great grandmother worked at a hotel in London and fell pregnant by the owners son but as my grandmother was adopted by her uncle and the adoption was dealt with via salvation army, i am stuck for finding any more details. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

     Hi.

Is it not possible to seek help from the Salvation Army, you might have to prove who you are in

relation to the person you are seeking, but it's worth a try.

     Good luck.

     Regards Tom.

I have tried and the only help they can give is to trace the birth mother which to be honest is no help as i already know those details as it was within the family. I have her birth certificate and adoption certificate and i have traced the family but as its 1920s it seems impossible to get info. Thanks for the advice anyway though! Wink
