Hello Ian,
That is a very kind offer. I would be interested to know whether the names: Goff, Bettle, or Rowney appear on any of the headstones. There is no rush, just whenever you have time.
Thanks,
George

Hello Ian, Thank you for looking, but, unfortunately, I don't believe that they are any of my Bettles. It is a shame that some many inscriptions fade, so much for being "set in stone". I'm pleased that you managed to find some connections. Kind regards. George.

Hello Ian,
My Bettle (Elizabeth) was born in Cranfield in about 1836 (parents' names unknown) and married Zarchariah Goff in 1856. The Goffs moved to Bedford and eventually to Leicester. Please do not go out of your way to follow this up as the liklihood of a connection is quite small I would think. Thank you again. George.
TOPIC LOCKED. Please post requests on the Beds LOOKUP REQUESTS board - Thanks.
