I am sure this has been posted over a hundred times but I just have a few questions. Where do I start searching. I have a few names and a general area. Unfourtunately, I don't know what to do with the info I have and I to keep digging further. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
To get the best for your search, give as much information as you know, names, dates and the name of the general area, and we will be able to point you to the right area to post. The more information you put on your post the better. Lots of people here with their hands on resources.
Best of all have fun ....and good luck in your search.
As KHp has said there are folk who are willing to help if you have something specific you are needing help with in a particular area... and if you happen to post in the wrong area it can be moved, not the end of the world
I for one have been a bit aimless at times and have read a lot of irrelevant material as I am easily distracted so you do need to sort what you want to achieve. There are plenty of posts regarding regrets etc and we are all learning by our mistakes....and be warned it can be addictive when you start having successes.
My main hint would be to record all your sources and try to keep to one line at a time, the paper shuffling and dates and names get confusing if you go in too many directions at once ... of course you sometimes have to go sideways to go back.
Check out the FAQ on how to use RC and there are many helpful links offered at the top of most boards.
Good luck ... and you've made a good start by making a post

Once you've had a read, choose one of your names and start a request topic on the appropriate board.
Everything else will follow ....
