Ann Brown born circa 1827, Willesden - COMPLETED with Thanks
« on: Friday 24 February 06 12:11 GMT (UK) »

Hi I'm trying to find info on Ann Brown who from marriage cert info and 1851 census (aged 23) was born 1827-1828 in Willesden. Father was a Benjamin Brown, labourer. The IGI has a christening for an Ann in Oct  1827, St James, Paddington. Father Benjamin and mother Elizabeth but can't find anything else.

Here's the baptism entry, not a lot to add really

Baptisms in the Parish of Paddington 1827 (St James)

Oct 28th

Childs name: Ann
Parents: Benjamin & Elizabeth Brown
Abode: Paddington
Qulaity, Trade or Profession: Labourer

Not a very good parish clerk, no more of an address or date of birth

I'll check out Willseden though, your on the top of my pile now for the next LMA visit.

Many thanks for that  Smiley

Tis such a pity that the clerks were a tad stingie with the info  Undecided

The labourer bit does tie in with her marriage cert. so I think it must be the correct one  Smiley

Also, the Willesden marriage looks promising because of the vicinity  Smiley
