New to Geneology
« on: Friday 24 February 06 14:30 GMT (UK) »

My wife and I are wanting to create a Family Tree on both sides of the family.
I have had a look at sites such as ANCESTRY but none of these are free, I am willing to pay once we have the basics. Could anyone advise us of suitable sites to start.

Hello Ken & Margaret Smiley Smiley Smiley

Where to start Huh That's a biggy. It really depends on how much you know about your families all ready. The beginners list on this site will give you lots of help. Also, there is a really good book by Paul Herber.

Tell us what info you already know and what certificates you have as your source.

If possible - include names, dates and counties. Smiley

We're all eager to help.

Oh and how did you become interested?
Was it because of the Who do you think you are TV series??
