These two are much smaller than a standard postcard and the card backing has fallen off I think? Unless they are actual photos?? Can't tell if they're Cornish images but I'm guessing that they might be..

Penzance Promenade - early 1900s (i.e. pre 1910) Castle Horneck avenue - early 1900s Newlyn - 1890s
Marazion - about 1890
Land's End - about 1908
As far as the lifeboat is concerned - can you see the name of the boat? That may help identify the location.

Thanks Nell Very precise dates! What makes you say such a definite 1908 for the Lands End one? Are you a postcard enthusiast? I must say I'd be delighted if they're all as old as you say!!

I cannot claim to be an expert so I'll have to let you in on the secret.
One of the postcards is a Francis Frith photo (see the printing on the back). There is a huge collection of old photographs available to browse - and order if you wish - at:
http://www.francisfrith.com
I looked at the ones for Land's End and sure enough, there are a few of that house. One is dated 1908 and happens to have that self same display cabinet outside the door! So it seemed reasonable to say it was the same date. The other dates were guestimated looking at some of the photos on that site.
