Topic: can anyone help me find Mary Knights parents (Read 224 times)

I have a Mary Knight who I am trying to find the parents for
Mary married Jonah Spring 12 Oct 1855 Wollaston - she is down as being OTP and the fathers name is left blank
1861 census gives Marys birth place as Caldecote Yorkshire for some reason
1871 census has her down as Caldecott Northants
both census agree her birth to be 1834/35
I have found who I think is mary on 1851 living with the Lamb family in Long Buckley and her birth place there is given as Chelveston
She died before 1881 census
Please can anyone see if they can find her on 1841 census - for Chelveston - Caldecott or Stanwick or if you have access to parish records a bapt records
I am suspecting she may have been illegitimate but don't know for certain.
One interesting thing is Jonah and Mary named their first child Zilpha this is not exactly your every day name and on 1851 living in Stanwick is a Knight family with a daughter Silpha - the children for this family were born in Caldecott - Chelveston and Stanwick - I am hoping this is Marys parents and siblings.

I really had no idea about the family was just guessing so the one you found could easily be the correct one
I need to find bap record for proof but you have given me names to work with Thanks
Interesting is the additional people in the household you gave as my Marys daughter Zilpha married a tebbutt
