I am wanting to know who is living at 100 London Road, Carlisle in 1881.
Everytime I try the search on ancestry the computer keeps freezing and closing the window (dont know why - it has been ok all night with everything else)
Hi Anna, Who would you expect to be there as i cant find it

RG11/5155 folio 64 page 28 may well have that address. The previous pages were progressing quite well up London Road, Botchergate, Carlisle - until we got to no 94. On this page there are another 5 addresses in London Road without numbers & I don't know which might be no 100
As no 94 London Road was property no 135 on the census image,
property no 131 Railway Cottage (last house in London Road) was occupied by Henry Wheatley age 56 & wife Margaret age 49. property no 132 was occupied by Francis Hewitson age 69 & Jane Ann Kirkpatrick age 12 Niece
let me know if you want more
regards John

It is strange as London Road wasnt demolished (that part of it anyway) until 1980's. Unless it hadnt been built but I have a death there is 1886 - checked the 1891 census to see who was living there - A Thompson family. Wanted to check 1881 to see if it was the same family.
