Hi there,
Could sks please lookup the following births & deaths for me. Likely the Auckland area, possibly Nemarket/Parnell.
OHLSON, Anne Catherine
Born: 1867
Died: 1869
She may have been registered at death or buried as Anne Charlotte OHLSON
I have searched Purewa etc online, so if anyone has access to Waikumete records and can check to see if her or anyone listed is buried there, I would appreciate it.
OHLSON: Marcus
Born: 1868
Died: before 1920
Lastly
MERRILL, Edward
Born: 1842
Died: aft 1908
(father was a fencible, Edward shows up in 1908 electoral still living in Howick)
If anyone can access marriage index, could you check to see if he married.

Not sure if i am much help
OHLSON Ann Catherine b 1867 is folio no 70
death 1869 Ann Charlotte folio no: 28
OHLSON Marcus b 1868 folio no: 543
looked at 1840 - 1854
No Merrill birth at that time.
sorry i didnt know i had to look up a book to see what area the folio no: is from, but i can do this if needed.
If you have a close date for the deaths, i can look them up, but you have to look at each year. takes awhile.. they are on fiche..

Hello,
Thank you so much for the help.
I would really appreciate if you could look up the area for me. Possibly try Auckland area first, although the father of ours was a mariner, so they could have been born anywhere in NZ.
If it helps the other children who lived, were all born in Auckland, infant deaths also Auckland. Time frame 1860-65.
You have helped alot already, at least now I am sure that someone exisited for sure with these names, hopefully they are my brickwalls.

The Ohlson surname has been spelt OhslOn & OhlsEn on various records for the same persons/family.
Captain Ohlson was a master mariner, also named in the Watt index.

1865-1866 electoral roll , this address
NEWMARKET Auckland
1881, Electoral roll, this address
Son Frederick Edward Ohlson died 1864, and buried Symonds st cemetery, Auckland. (Auckland Central today)

had a quick look for Frederick marriage
1855 - 59 records
Frederick OHLSEN 59/25 so i guess its 1859 he married.. couldnt find a book to see if the number meant an area or not - does anyone know??? or is it a number you match up with a bride....
i am sure i will get better at this,.... lol lol

Hi, I have had no luck working the varcoes index for other marriages.
Coyld you see if you could find the following, the brides surname is a bit sketchy, the grooms name is correct.
Year 1942 Circa, likely Auckland
GROOM: OWEN, Gordon
BRIDE: ? Leslie Della or Della Leslie, (Unsure which order her christain names go in or of a surname)
