Hi
If you have access to the original, could you scan the bottom part of it, so that it can be combined and a full picture can be made.
Don't have a clue about a date for it. Pre 1920 but post 1890 is about all I'd venture.

Thats fine if you don't have the original.
Its clear enough to colour and the repair isn't too hard. Maybe a couple of days before I can get round to it though

So - I have used his cleaned up photo and added a bit of colour.

I noticed that but this was the tatty original photograph that I scanned (they couldn't have done things like that in those days)
