NFHS membership ?

Hi, Can anyone tell me if the Norfolk Family History Society can be visited and the formats searched if one is not a member.
I have sent various messages, but have not received a reply, not a good start.
Just wondered if anyone can advise.

Tues !0am - 1pm, Wed !0am - 4pm, Thurs 10am-1pm, Sun 10am-1pm

When you get there  there is a wealth of information avaliable and you dont have to be a member to use it although i think they would like you to be. They are very friendly and extremly helpful. I cannot recommend it enough.

Hi Jackie.
I live in the Norfolk area, i e Wayland , Depwade etc etc.
However I'm finding it really difficult to find the bap/birth of  my David Brooks bn 1816ish Tacolneston/ Forncett, I need this to continue my research.

I have most of other details on him, but his birth is a real pain, suspect his mother utted the same words at one time..

You probably have checked the IGI but i had a quick look i found
David Brooks b abt 1817 Tacolnston married Mary Abt 1849 Tacolnston
David Brookes b 1815 forcett St Mary married Sarah abt 1835
Forcett St Mary.
David Brookes C 11 Apr 1819 Forncett St married Sarah Drake 7 Nov 1842 ( David son of William and Mary Sward )
There are several members of this family listed.
I will keep your info in mind as i am searching.

Thanks for the efforts Jackie, but have seen all these , Yes the David Marr Mary 1849, this one is mine, he later Marr a second time to Elizabeth Oakley.
Just wish I could find his birth..

Perhaps a trip to Kirby Hall may help they have the parish registers there for most areas, might be worth a phone call to see if they have them for Talconston and forncett for the dates you want before you go. Its great all in paper books ( i much prefer to look through books than constantly be on the computer ) Sorry i cant be of more help
