Hi all
I think I may be getting somewhere but wondered if there are any Wards from Newark on the same path as me.
I have Jonas Ward married to Ann lee and they have 10 children, George Issacc Ward born 1815 is my direct descendant. I have found Jonas in the Pigot's directory 1830 as a fishmonger, Newark, so matching the parish register entry of most of his children. They then at some point move to Leicester and Jonas dies 23 Jan 1837, his wife possibly dies 23 Jun 1841. Today I received a death cert for one of their daughters Jane  who dies age 19 (Leicester) and an Elizabeth Ward is present at death, address given Newark, Notts. I have found a Reuben Ward married to Elizabeth 1851 and on this and further census returns there is a sister/sister in law Ann who would fit the bill for Jonas's daughter (in 1851  listed as Ann Ward, Unmar, wife's sister, born Newark Notts) and to top it all Reuben is a fishmonger.
Now that is all off my chest would be glad of any help or family connections Cheesy
