This is probably a ridiculous question but here goes. Is there any way of finding out about James Lamper who was born in Holland on 29th Nov 1871? He married Anne Stucki who went through Ellis Island in 1893 and they ended up living in Oregon.

There are several people in the United States who are related to this person and although they know where he was buried and have a great picture of the gravestone and also photos of his parents that is where the trail stops. I have been searching for 'my' Lampers and keep coming across this James so I thought I would ask if anyone has any ideas how to find out more about him.

DutchGenealogy. com has CDs with various sorts of information. Of course you have to pay for them.

I would start off by looking for Dutch genealogy sites. I am sure most of them will have pages in English.
